April always is a crazy time of year. The snow starts to melt, the air warms up, and things start to feel more alive again. Working Hands knows this feeling well, which is why we have so many events going on this month. We're a brewery that supports local causes, check out these great events we're proud to be a part of.

Specialty & Offsite Event
Run with the Wild 5k Walk/Run: Saturday, April 15, at Mark O. Hatfield Park, east of Hood River. Show support for your firefighters and their families and have fun doing it. A family friendly, dog friendly, ADA accessible 5k run/walk. This 5k will be held in the beautifully scenic Columbia River Gorge, starting at the Mark O. Hatfield (West Entrance) Trailhead. Views of the Columbia River will be seen along this paved route. All proceeds will be donated to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation with an event drawing. 5k participants will get free pours of the Wild Land Rauch Helles! Additionally, we will be donating all proceeds to Wildland Firefighter Foundation from the sales of Wild Land Rauch Helles during event week (4/9-16).
Join us for Pint of Science: Wednesday, April 19, at 6 p.m. at Working Hands. Monthly all-ages science meetup in your neighborhood where researchers share casual discussions of the latest happenings in their fields. Come check out what's new in science and meet other enthusiasts, students, and researchers. No prior knowledge required!
Celebrate Earth Day: Saturday, April 22, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Nichols Natural Area in Hood River (in front of the Hampton Inn). We're supporting Columbia Riverkeeper's river cleanup and invasive weed pull at the Nichols Natural Area near the Hood River Waterfront. As a perk, participants will receive a drink token on us!
Birds & Brews: April 29, 6:30-9 p.m. at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum in The Dalles. This ticketed event is a first annual Raptor Program fundraiser, Birds & Brews Festival and Fundraiser.
Admission gets guests one free drink, and free pizza while supplies last, access to the museum exhibitions, and last but not least, special raptor presentations from one or more of our resident birds of prey.
Save the Date: June 3, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. at Working Hands. Remember how much fun you had at last year's Sausage Fest? We're doing it again. Stay tuned for details, the sausage, the bands, just good beer (and cider). We'll have

Gift Cards
We have been receiving a lot of old Slopeswell gift cards recently. We are so happy you are all coming in and using your gift cards, however these no longer work with our updated Point-of-sale system. In order to get the value out of your Slopeswell gift cards, please bring them in by April 30, 2023 to redeem them or exchange them for a Working Hands gift card to use at a later date.
